Stormcaller.net: A weekly summary of the trouble the internet has been getting itself into

>Sunday, March 19, 2006 - "Hibernation" (Stormcaller)

You know, it's funny how different things take up your time and attention at different times. I used to update this site at least weekly, for a good couple of years. Vitenka also used to post regularly, and still updates now and again. But stormcaller.net, at least as this website in its "SC.net 1.0" instance, has pretty much fallen into disuse. Disuse by me, at least - it's still getting 6000 hits/day, down from a peak of over 10000/day through summer 2005 and nearly as many through the whole of 2004. I'm glad people are still enjoying the existing content, and I'm sorry there isn't more.

From now on (officially, at least, since it's been slowing down for much longer) this site is going into a period of hibernation. On standby, if you like. I'm going to leave it up as it is but not update anything, with the possible exception of some photo galleries for my friends.

However, it's not completely dead. I've got plenty of other projects on the go, and sooner or later this website will feature again. Look out for stormcaller.net 2.0, whenever that may be!

Lots of pictures to illustrate these effects, too. [Details]
